plzip software package provides parallel, lossless data compressor based on the LZMA algorithm, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install plzip
plzip is installed in your system.
Make ensure the plzip package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep plzip *
You will get with plzip package name, version, architecture and description in a table
